SANGHA ADMINISTRATOR’S ROLE IN SANGHA EDUCARIONAL ADMINISTRATION IN NAKHONPATHOM PROVINCE

Abstract

          The  objectives  of  this  research  are:  1.  to  study  the monks’ opinion of Ecc. administrative monks’ role  in  Sangha  affair  administration  of  the religious aducational  affairs  in  Nakhonpathom   province  2. to  compare  the monks’ opinion  of  Ecc. administrative monks’  role in   Sangha  affair  administration  of  the religious aducational  affairs  in  Nakhonpathom   province, being separated as on the individual status   3.  to  study  the  problems, obstacles  and  suggestions of  Sangha  affair  administration  of  the religious aducational  affairs  in  Nakhonpathom   province.

           The research  conducted  by using the Mixed Research Method of the quantitative research  that is a survey research and the qualitative research of which the data were collected by the way of in-depth interview. It was the study of the 333 monks’ opinion of Ecc. administrative monks’ role  in  Sangha  affair  administration  of  the religious aducational  affairs  in  Nakhonpathom   province. The instrument used for collecting the data was the questionnaire being divided into three sections, the first one was the general questionnaire concerned with the questionnaire answer givers, the 2nd section was concerned with  the monks’ opinion of Ecc. Administrative monks’ role  in  Sangha  affair  administration  of  the religious aducational  affairs  in  Nakhonpathom   province and the 3rd section was concerned with the  problems, obstacles  and  suggestions of  Sangha  affair  administration  of  the religious aducational  affairs  in  Nakhonpathom   province. The analysis of the data was made by valuation of  frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test .

 

 From the  results of the research, it has been found  that

          1. The monks’ and Ecc. Administrative monks’ opinion of Ecc. Administrative monks’ role  in  Sangha  affair  administration  of  the religious aducational  affairs  in  Nakhonpathom   province, in general, was at the medium level with the mean X = 3.19. Cosidering as items, it has been found that monks’ and Ecc. Administrative monks’ opinion of Ecc. Administrative monks’ role  in  Sangha  affair  administration  of  the religious aducational  affairs  in  Nakhonpathom   province, being at the highest level was to establish the Phrapariyattidhamma schools for Pali and/or Dhamma study within the temple. Its mean equaled 3.78. The secondary one was to control, take care and promote the Ecc. Administrative monks’ Pali and Dhamma study thoroughly, its mean equaled 3.66, and the last one was the teacher’s content of teaching Dhamma study, promoting knowing the done favor and reciprocating the done favo of parents and teachers, its mean equaled 2.71.

          2. For monks and Ecc. Administrative  monks whose statuses were different, their opinions  of  Ecc. Administrative monks’ role  in  Sangha  affair  administration  of  the religious aducational  affairs  in  Nakhon Pathom   province, in general, were different with statistical significance at the level 0.03. Hereby, the set hypothesis was accepted. Considering in each a item, it has been found that monks and Ecc. Administrative monks whose statuses were different were of opinions  of  Ecc. Administrative monks’ role  in  Sangha  affair  administration  of  the religious aducational  affairs  in  Nakhon Pathom   province, in the item 9, having the idea or educational management of establishing Pariyattidhamma school, Dhamma Division, in the item 10, having the idea or educational management of establishing Pariyattidhamma school, Pali Division, in the item 11, having the idea or establishing the religious welfare schools and supporting, promoting monks and novices to have got the study allover,in the item 13, the teacher’s content of teaching Dhamma study, promoting knowing the done favor and reciprocating the done favor of the institute of nation, religion and king,  in the item 14, the teacher’s content of teaching Dhamma study, promoting knowing the done favor and reciprocating the done favo of parents and teachers and in the item 15, having the idea to establish or of establishing the Dhamma study school with its statistical significance at the level 0.01. In the other items, monks’ and Ecc. Administrative monks’ opinions were not different.

         3. Most of the problems of Sangha  affair  administration  of  the religious aducational  affairs were that the supporting capital and giving the opportunity of the right education  to the people as the Buddha’s teaching so that they could follow it in daily life were not much yet.

          4.  In the Summary  of  the  interview,  it has been found that  the  religious  educational affairs  in  Nakhonpathom Province  have been running . But  more  efficiency was required in order to support   monks’  education to be powerful for teaching and propagating the Buddhism. the Ecc. Administrative monks doing management of various religious education completely.  Because  if the Sangha  was ready for religious study, the people coming in the temple would be faithful, pleased and happy to make merit. been running on.  .

          5.  Recommendations to Sangha affair administration in the aspect of religious education were that it should have the Ecc. Administrative monks doing management of various religious education completely.  Because  if the Sangha  was ready for religious study, the people coming in the temple would be faithful, pleased and happy with merit-making .
